What is Left

Life is consciousness, which means that everything in existence relies on and is affected by available consciousness. Although consciousness is generally understood to be a flow of energy, its source lies within Being in its purest form.

In various teachings and practices, consciousness has been categorized into different dimensions based on its manifestation, which depends on the objectivity of the observer. The more complex the concepts, the more concentrated the consciousness, and life forms vary in their functions. Consciousness flows through the universe, reaching even the smallest creatures on Earth.

We refer to the total manifestation of consciousness as universal consciousness. However, although consciousness is universal, it is primarily limited to the lowest objects within this manifestation.

In previous publications, I have indicated that the mind does not exist solely within the body. In our understanding, we often regard the mind as a container for consciousness, thoughts, and memories associated with our life experiences. However, the body/mind connection is merely a function of the brain. Beyond all illusion and manifestation exists something called the Mind, which represents the pure consciousness of what we refer to as the Self.

The consciousness accessible to our bodies limits our experiences and understanding of what lies beyond our perception. We often think and act out of our cultural illusions because we live in what we call the past; there is no present or future, only a recurring past.

As distinct beings, we are not aware of our shared consciousness with the Earth. Consciousness is not isolated to individual bodies; rather, it is an appearance shaped by the cycle of beginnings and endings of these bodies. We must recognize that a new body replicates previous forms, sustaining the Earth’s nature through the inherent energies within the planet. What belongs to the Earth remains with the Earth and is separate from all planets in the solar system. However, there is a universal energy that permeates the universe, affecting the available consciousness.

The objective consciousness within a body is finite, and it is a misconception to believe that a body can be reborn. There is no permanence attached to any form or object, and memories are recycled within existing cultures.

Life is not connected to the body’s sensory experiences or the ego, because life depends on the function of the vital force and the body’s consciousness. What we see as personal is often just the vanity of the ego.

Our bodies are unique manifestations and not singular objects, and like everything in the universe, they follow their patterns. We often believe we are beyond Nature, yet we have a limited understanding of how our bodies function. How then can we claim to understand the Earth’s nature, since a part cannot know the whole?

In this life, we only live once in a particular body, and the elements that compose our bodies are continually recycled. The body does not know itself, although its elements contribute to the Earth’s ongoing renewal.

I would like to answer your questions as I see them.
Thoughts have nothing to do with consciousness. Indirectly re produced by the impressions we we receive from our senses when we first become confronted by a new, not in particular but a alien or an unknown animal. Which are compared to previous impressions andif we are confronted against feral are times and what’s previously has been stored we attempt to research it and eventually name it and it is added to the worldly knowledge and is physical and not a part of consciousness.
Next consciousness is a medium similar to the vital breath or Pranab and unseen and everywhere. Consciousness requires an object reflected where it is creates a state of being conscious of itself. However for that to happen first the light awareness must first reveal to the bject by Shining its lt on an object.
One last thing I meant to refer o before is thoughts are not related to consciousness but are a product of the ego which is the prime thought I Exist and ego is I and n ot unobjectionable like the body and the ego seeks to exist by attaching itself to the body and because of that all other thoughts that follow are the beginning of the illusion in the world.

  • Douglas,

Thank you for your writing, and your response.

A few things you mentioned really hit home for me. Thoughts being tied to the flow of time, and that thoughts are not consciousness.
From what you can see, are thoughts themselves a part of the matrix of time? Are they an instrument of the illusion, or a victim?
I am aware that thought is not personal, and that there is an intuitively arising thought, which is different than the cultural noise.

The other statement, that consciousness is a mirror, is interesting, as what is it reflecting? If ‘thoughts’ are coming through, then consciousness is giving light to them. If consciousness is resting in its source, or on the body, then there starts to be no room for them.

    Thanks again,
    Tys.

  • Hi Tys,

I apologise for the delayed response; it’s unusual for anyone to comment on my writing.

This is indeed a complex issue. Unwanted thoughts can disrupt our focus, especially during meditation. While we can’t completely eliminate these thoughts—since they are tied to the flow of time—we can learn to dismiss them; the more we do this, the less frequently they return.

It’s important to understand that thoughts are not part of consciousness. Consciousness acts like a mirror, reflecting objects in our awareness. When something manifests, it can just as easily disappear. Thoughts are not tangible objects; they often arise from the ego’s sense of self.

We tend to identify as individuals with unique thoughts, but in reality, we share the same human experience. Culture is the cumulative knowledge gained through our interactions over time, shaping our behaviour and values within a community.

The concepts created by our brains are not objective; they are impressions based on sensations, thoughts, and memories. When these thoughts distract us, they can disconnect us from our true selves. I hope this makes sense.

    Best,
    Douglas

  • All the thought-creation activity being the past enforcing itself on the present, stealing my attention, has been a useful concept for me over the years.
A new insight here for me is you saying that memories are recycled in the existing cultures. Is that all memory? Or the thought-creation consciousness stealing memory? Because I see it as the second thing. And if I let its movement capture and define me, if I fall into the trap, consciousness immediately doesn’t recognise its source….
