You cannot discover Truth while clinging to every conclusion you have already made. The Transmissions warn that many people approach new teachings only to see whether the ideas agree with what they already believe. If the teaching confirms them, they accept it. If it challenges them, they reject it. But that is not wisdom—it is self-protection. Real understanding begins when you become willing to set aside your certainty long enough to see clearly. You do not lose yourself by doing this. You give yourself the chance to discover what is real beneath the beliefs you have inherited.
This does not mean you should accept everything blindly. The path asks for something more demanding: openness followed by discernment. First, listen without forcing the teaching into your old framework. Then compare what you have received with what you previously understood, and make a rational assessment. In this way, you stop reacting and begin examining. You move beyond skepticism that closes the door and belief that never questions. You become an active seeker—one who allows Light to reveal what the intellect alone cannot settle.
When you want to understand any part of life, shine the Light upon it. Do this with your studies, your motives, your relationships, and the hidden reasons behind your decisions. Do not immediately defend yourself. Do not rush to accuse another. Bring conscious attention to the matter and allow what is false to become visible. The Illusion depends on confusion, habit, and unquestioned reaction. Light dissolves that confusion by revealing what you have been unwilling to see.
You may discover that some of your strongest beliefs are only old habits of thought. You may see that an opinion you fiercely protected never came from your Essence at all. Do not be discouraged when this happens. Rejoice, because every false conclusion you release gives your true Personality more room to develop. The Transmissions are not intended to weld your mind into another system; they are meant to help you rise above ignorance, superstition, fear, and Illusion. Truth revealed through Nature and conscious understanding does not imprison you—it makes you inwardly free.
So become teachable without becoming weak. Question without becoming cynical. Listen without surrendering your discernment. Let every challenge to your thinking become an invitation to greater Light. You do not need to fear Truth, because whatever is true within you will survive examination. Whatever falls away was never the foundation of your Being. Shine the Light, remain present, and let understanding grow. In time, you will no longer defend borrowed ideas—you will live from knowledge that has become real within you.
