How Does it Work

Whatever we engage in must yield some form of satisfaction, regardless of the nature of the action. Often, we find ourselves burdened by expectations regarding specific outcomes, whether they manifest immediately or unfold over several years. Consciousness, in essence, transcends the confines of time because it exists in a realm devoid of memories.

The Earth, nestled within the intricate tapestry of the Universe, is influenced by various forces that shape our understanding of time and movement. Our belief in possessing individual consciousness fuels our desires when we identify with our physical forms. This self-identification blinds us to the limitations we impose on our perceptions, desires, and actions. We live immersed in a complex illusion shaped by sensory impressions and conceptual frameworks that our brains meticulously record, relying on a patchwork of limited knowledge.

As a collective of living beings, our actions often fail to contribute to the Earth’s well-being. We extract mineral wealth from the soil, pollute the atmosphere, dismantle ecosystems, and destroy the essential components for the planet's life and vitality. How have we arrived at a point where human populations vastly outnumber other species? We justify our relentless growth with the belief that a divine directive encourages us to prosper, multiply, and assume stewardship of the Earth. This rationale is a convenient excuse for the devastation of other species and the reckless destruction of forests and natural habitats, all in the name of personal gratification, vanity, and self-interested ambition. We remain disconnected from the Earth’s rhythms, pressing onward during periods of drought often caused by our collective desires for wealth and power.

In stark contrast, nature exhibits a remarkable ability to self-regulate. During droughts and periods of food scarcity, the strain on the survival of the food chain is limited. Many other species instinctively limit reproduction, yet humans disregard such circumstances and continue to reproduce at alarming rates, driven by self-satisfaction and pleasure, without considering the impact on future generations.

The Earth possesses an innate ability to regenerate, striving to maintain stability over time. Devoid of a rational mind, the Earth effortlessly harmonizes the energy system of the Sun and other vital forces to counteract human actions in the regenerative processes.

Why do these tendencies control our behavior? It relates to our lack of understanding of the total nature of the planet, where we fantasize about our significance as creators of the world around us.

Is it possible to transcend these limitations? Perhaps not, because we have developed a culture that has evolved beyond any one individual; it has now come to own us. We deceive ourselves into believing we are isolated individuals rather than part of a collective. A question arises in our hearts: Can there be any change in the circumstances of the world? The voice of hope becomes silent, and in fear, we retreat to what we perceive as our security and safety.

Throughout our diverse cultures, laws have emerged that dictate acceptable behavior and initiate punitive measures for transgressions. However, punishment alone rarely transforms behavior; often, change is seen as a means to avoid detection.

We are not here to change the world because it operates within an established consciousness, acting in specific patterns reflective of the increasingly sensual nature of human development and expression.
